Ignacio Isern is a certified PGA Professional with over 10 years experience in coaching all levels of golfer. Ignacio's teaching career has taken him to Europe and the U.S., coaching at Canyon Oaks Country Club in California, Real Club de Golf de Sevilla and Villa Nueva Golf Resort in Cadiz.
Growing up in California, Ignacio was a successful junior golfer. He was MVP of his high school team and played in the NCAA for Saint Mary’s College of California (division 1) where he received his Bachelor’s Degree. Playing in college was a very formative experience for him, giving him the opportunity to work with some great golf coaches, sports psychologists, nutritionists and personal trainers as well as having competed against some of the world’s currently top ranked professional golfers. These opportunities and experiences helped form the beginning of his coaching career and keep him competing at a professional level today.
Although his students range from beginners to professionals, young and old, Ignacio has a special interest and passion in the development of junior golfers. He has spent many years studying the Long Term Athletic Development process of junior golfers and implements the latest developmental techniques in his coaching of future athletes. As a sought after professional coach, Ignacio has also written numerous articles for the sports section of the ABC newspaper, covering all different parts of the game including psychology, nutrition, technique and physical conditioning.
Ignacio strives each day to be a better coach and player, keeping up to date on the latest advancements in teaching and technology and acquiring the most prestigious certifications available.
Being both Spanish and American, Ignacio is perfectly bilingual and therefore able to teach in both English and Spanish.
